Well snap Elvis, and yes pink, although you never see a "doctored" tom cat bothering about such things once he's been done! Lol.
Why take the risk?....these people are cunning individuals who can fool anyone, once convicted, get rid of them

whilst a tom cat may loose his sex drive abuse of chidren is never about the sex as sex is available for offenders through other avenues. It os to do with power and manipulation which you dont need a penis for
dan, you`re getting your train robbers mixed up with your everyday muggers, what they did back then is of no resemblence of anything done nowadays
dancairo thats a bit rough i do not see people that dont care on this thread. If we didnt care why would we answer. Given the work I do I am very passionate about the safety of children.

Sure society would be better offf if we could rid sex offenders but we cant so we must live in the reality not the ideal. The reality is sex offenders and abusers are aming us every day. Therefore we need to manage that risk in a way that offers the maximum protection to children. We dont have the means to keep them in prison so we have to face the reality
What's with you dancairo, eh? I said that I think Biggs was wrong to've been involved in the train robbery - and NO, you CAN'T compare it to the murder of children (often accompanied by sexual motives).
If anyone touched my children, I wouldn't be happy to see them go down for a few years. I'd want life to mean life, literally - but I'd rather have them put out of the way permanently. Think what you like, but most decent parents'd want to see such a crime dealt with properly, and to my, and many other peoples minds, they aren't.

dancairo you miss the point totally i am not offering an alternative i am merely saying the ideal is not an option as life sentences dont exist so why harp on about a solution that is NOT an option.

?In relation to the amount of abuse that involves touching digital penetration etc there is a lot more than is brought to public attention. The cases that hit the media are those that have been prosecuted and only one third of cases result in successful prosecution. I work with SS and deal with all referrals of child sexual abuse. Whether or not a child has been penetrated does not determine the long term effect. Children who have not been penetrated can be equally if not more effectd if the abuse was long term and involved threats
If a solution is NOT the option by law, why not make it an option?
-- answer removed --
the sad reality is that too often paedophiles and abusers do not come to th attention of anyone until untold damage is done and so therfore by only ridding society of convicted offenders this does not sfford chidren the protection they afford. The amount of people who come forward as adults to reperot abuse as a child is just as high

Night dan, keep the windows locked lol
I respect your viewpoint dancairo, but thought that your reply to me was quite aggressive.
I didn't fail to address you. I said that, in my opinion, the robbery in question was nothing compared TO..... and that's the murder and/or sexual offences against children.
Your opinions are just as valid as mine, but the thread appertains to the sort of person conatined in the above link, and I certainly would have no qualms in seeing someone sentenced for his or her full life - at least.
