When why and who cancelled it again this year?
And why weren't the Great British Public consulted - I'm sure that We as a whole would have voted for it to go ahead. I'd even personally have paid a little extra for it.

Dr Legg - I thought you had died. I distinctly remember Dot saying she'd been to your funeral.

Redman - you're not perchance going on holiday on the 17th are you?!
I like this country _ I don't necessarily want to emigrate but you can't help thinking about it in this weather!

To live in this country you need to be able to afford about 2 or 3 holidays a year in order to get your dose of sunshine I reckon!

the smell of the barbeque is soooooo tempting
I am meant to be going to Scotland at some point over the next few days. Grrrrrr. We are doing a "weather check" with our farmer friend on Friday to see what the outlook is cos none of us fancy putting a tent up in the howling wind and pouring rain.
I agree with Karma. I think our British weather is great! It's unpredictable, none of this, wake up every day and it's 27 degrees outside - wonder what it's like tomorrow?

No, you should plan your barbecues - use large umbrellas, like we do, a Gazebo, what more could you want? Rain or sunshine, we have it covered. Enjoy it before the winter hits.
