Why are so many people asking this today?
Excluding instrumentals. these spring tto mind:

Bohemian Rhapsody
Space Oddity
Unchained Melody
Ballad of John & Yoko
Theme from MASH
Importance of Being Idle
Theane from MASH is called Suicide is painless and it is mentioned in the lyrics on a number of occassions.
My book of hit singles says the 1980 hit was called Theme from MASH but the words 'suicide is painless' appear in brackets . I recall that at the time radio 1/TOTP were reluctant to refer to the suicide references so maybe the record was given a dual title.
I think the Manic St Preachers version was called Suicide is Painless

thanks getting there i had the ballard of john and yoko, space oddity, bohemian rhapsody and annies song. Its a question asked on a advert on radio for B T it says bohemiam rhapsody made it to no1 twice there are seven with ketchum song, unchained melody and importance of being idle that should do it thanks kevin
