Neil Young definatly did a version, mustave been a cover, i am familier with the America version too.
"Horse With No Name" was only ever recorded by America, although almost everyone who has ever heard it thought that it was a Neil Young song. Dewey Bunnell, the writer of the song, was attacked by a lot of the music press when it came out for its close resemblence to both the sound and structure of Young's work. Perhaps ironically, it knocked a Neil Young song (Heart of Gold) off the top of the US charts.
It was written by Dewey Bunnel and performed by his band America. Although the song is obviously inspired by his style, I'm pretty sure Neil Young has never performed it.
Neil Young has definitely, definitely done a version, I have a copy of it on this very computer.
Neil Young has never done a version of this, although on some download sites it says that the file you are downloading is by him, IT'S NOT, IT'S BY AMERICA!!!!
