Broadband and Moving House

We are moving house in September, but as it's only just up the road we are taking our landline phone number with us. Although we won't be moving in until a specific date in September, the house is ours and empty from now. I was hoping to get broadband set up prior to moving in so that we are not without it at all.

Presumably, this will mean setting up broadband on the phone line and number currently at the new house....but...will this then be messed up when we change the phone number on the day we move? Any idea?

Thanks!

they'll just shift your line to the other line's wires - nothing needs doing other than getting the order in in reasonable time
