Just bought the new Coldplay album, wondered what other peoples thoughts on it were?

while i was a fan of parachutes and rush of blood to the head, i found x&y to be incredibly dull.

i couldn't bring myself to listen to the whole album, but the tracks i listened to all seemed as if they were about to go somewhere, but never actually did!

I have exactly the same sentiments, the album is a big dissapointment.  Since the other two albums were good I automatically assumed this one was going to be top notch also.

if i had to put all coldplays albums in order of best first it would be rush of blood with x&y and parachutes tieing for 2nd - i think its a good album.

what u have to remember is that good music gets better with age so give it a chance and a few years !

I actually think it is the mutts nuts!  Don't care for a couple of tracks(as with most albums to be honest) but I feel this album has been well worth the wait. The first 3 tracks are superb.  I'd give it 8 and a half out of 10.

I quite enjoyed X&Y more than the previous two.  However, it was odd to hear that Mr. Martin has nicked a Kraftwerk melody for the song "Talk" !
