OK, it's not original, but I like Greg Lake's I Believe in Father Christmas.
Odd ones really : "Stop the Cavalry" by Jona Lewie, "A Spaceman Came Travelling" Chris De Burgh and "Mary's Boy Child" Boney M.
I'm with TheHitMaker here - Greg Lake does it for me every time! And The Waitresses, Christmas Wrapping.
I love carols sung by choirs, and have a couple of CDs of the Choir from King's College, Cambridge. I also enjoy Phil Spector's versions of the classics like Frosty the Snowman, Winter Wonderland, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! Coming a bit more up-to-date, (and here's one for Einstein!) Kate Bush's December Will Be Magic Again, Wham's Last Christmas, Pretenders' 2000 Miles and, like Cetti Chris De Burgh and, like Kit and The HitMaker, Greg Lake. And there will probably be many more that come to mind as the Season progresses! :-)
My all time favourite has to be Fairytale of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty McColl, although what on earth he is singing most of the time I can't imagine. Also Greg Lake does it for me, and David Bowie & Bing Crosby duetting on Little Drummer Boy. When Bowie starts to sing it sends shivers down my spine.

I just like them all ... Christmas is my favourite time of year.
All christmas stuff is exploitation, pure and simple and the music to go with the "season" is mindless, nauseous pap at best and brainwashing church dirges the rest of the time. Here's a cheery thought for you, did you know that the yuletide time has by far and away the highest suicide rate of the year? So if you really want to get into the spirit of christmas rather than spending 20 on auntie jean for another present she'll only stuff into a wardrobe and never look at again why not donate something to your local homeless shelter it will do a lot more good.
You missed the "Bah, humbug" off the end of that sft42! ;) - I know it's really tacky, but i quite like Madonna's rendition of "Santa Baby", and also U2's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" - but i have to agree with Cetti on "Stop The Cavalry". Also, the Bowie/Crosby one of BenDToy is a good shout.
The music from the Coke advert! Holidays are coming......
I heartily recommend that everyone runs to Kazaa or Winmx and downloads the best Christmas song ever - 'Christmas Comes But Once a Year' by Amos Milburn. I also like 'I Won't be Home for Christmas' by Blink 182, and '2000 Miles' by the Pretenders.

Anything by Mr Nat King Cole - especially "The Christmas Song"
Hate them all . . . honestly, I can't think of a single Christmas song I can bear to listen to.
I love the one where grandma gets knocked down on Christmas Eve by Santa in his Sleigh but I can't think of the title at the moment, all the other ones with the exception well sung carols make me nauseous. Does anyone know the name of the record I just described?
I'm with BenDtoy on 'Fairytale of New York' (By the way BenD, lyrics are at http://www.pogues.com/Releases/Lyrics/LPs/IfIShoul
d/Fairytale.html
if you want to know what he's singing about)
If this includes carols as well then it's "O Holy Night" - "In the Bleak Midwinter" (original tune also!! ) and " O come O come Emmanuel " - plus anything you can belt out like "Joy to the World". Great Stuff!!!!
I think the song you are thinking of Froggequene is "Grandma got run over by a reindeer " which was sung by the irish rovers, but I could be wrong.
