Why do people not keep their pets safe?!

I was on my way to work this morning which takes me through the country and there was an alsatian that had been hit by a car and was limping about. In the last three weeks I've also seen 2 dead cats on the same road. I wish people would keep their pets secure and safe!! I would never let my dog be able to get onto a road :o(

cats are a law unto themselves, but I take your point re the dog :o/

It is not just pets. I have just heard on the radio that the RSPCA have been called in after two police dogs died after being left in a hot car. I hope the people concerned get the book thrown at them. How stupid is that. Leaving a dog in a hot car is wanton cruelty as far as I am concerned.

You're right sara, cats are a bit harder to contain! I was so angry and sad this morning about the dogs owner not making sure he was safe the poor thing.

Thats horrendous D143237G, I hope they don't get away with it because they are "police".

And the dog was outside a farm so I hope the farmer doesn't kill him because he's no good to him anymore
