Have a pint with Geraint Evans
"Will you have a pint" he hears
"to celebrate Joe's ninety years?"

Jinte - Aberdonian word for "joint" examples could be either the co-joining of two pieces of wood (or similar) i.e. "He (the carpenter) does a lovely dove-tail jinte", or perhaps "hemmin, you g'an ti roll a jinte or fit?"

Also in Doric (Aberdonian), there's 'min't'...the 'i' is pronounced as it is in pint and not as in the plant. You might hear it in a sentence such as: "Ach, Ah nivver min't on't!" That's: "Oh, I forgot it!"...'min't' being the past tense of 'mind' , meaning 'remember'. It's a much richer dialect than standard English in some ways.
