How do I apply for a dropped kerb? I live in Northern Ireland

Talk to your local council

Specifically start by phoning the Highways Department (or whatever different name is used in NI).

A private contractor can do the work, but you have to get the correct planning permission first. Your local council should provide this for you.

Apparently we contact the DOE, pay them a fee of about �300, then get it done by a contractor. The DOE inspect it after this and if they're happy we get our money back
