What do the letters vga on a camera phone stand for ,and can this type of device take short video clips as well?

Stands for video graphics array - you might be able to take short video clips on it, but VGA tends to refer to the display (i.e. a pc monitor).  What make/model of phone is it?!

thank you nigidivich for the info;the camera I,m thinking of buying is a panasonic x400,any opinion of them?
Perfectly good phone from what I've heard!!!  It will certainly be able to do video as it's a 3G phone.

No...  hold on...  it's not (3G)!

Don't think it can do video then... And it's supposed to have quite a weak battery life...

Check out the Samsung range - not really my bag, but if you like the Panasonic one, I think you'll find some you like that do have the features you're looking for...
