will a modern cd/radio plug into a 51 plate clio and work

If I buy a new cd/radio for my 51 plate clio, will it work without any adapters etc because there seems to be a lot of connections on the original radio cassette

You may get from halfods a harnness to connect your after market stereo to the cars factory wiring harness without cuting any wires.
