Squeaky violin playing!

No matter how much I resin my bow, my violin keeps making awful squeaky sounds sometimes when I'm playing it! It completely ruins it.
Does anyone have any techniques for stopping this? I'm pretty new at it.

Do you have the bow tensioned correctly? It can make a difference.
Also, do you have lessons? It could just be that you're in need of a little correction in your bowing technique. Your teacher could also advise you bow tension.
I'm not a violinist, so I can't be of any more help, I'm afraid. This is just something I've picked up from people who are violinists.
