my frined has got to go to court for section 48 charge for assult but is pleading none gulity she girl who pressed the charges has now dropped them he is still goin to court what type of punshment might he get ?

My cousin has just been sent down for 4 months for ABH. Even though the CCTV footage clearly showed the bloke hitting him first.

Hi babygirlemma. I believe it is a section 47 assault or ABH that you are referring to. They carry up to 5 years. It depends upon many factors and i would take a look at the following link: http://cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manu al/actual_bodily_harm/
