Password problem

Hotmail will not accept my password, but I know it is correct.

On occasions, I have to put it intwice, but it than always accepts me, but this time not.

how about the "forgot password" link - at least if it will reset your ID isn't the culprit

Caps lock...OFF.

Reset ID days that my password isn't correct.

Forgoten Password link tells me it will send my password to my email address....that is the problem., I need my password to get into my email.

Reset routes tell me that my information is wrong...IT AINT and then tells me to wait and try again.....HOW LONG?

you need an alternative e-mail ...

for personal, business, logging into sites, banking, etc you should use different addresses - makes life easier in the long run .... when the spam gets too much

googlemail would be as good as any

sorry but you should clear your cookies - and all other temp stuff - it could be a corrupt ID (but no guarantees)

tools internet options | browsing history

sorry - but you need to delete the lot
then
goto settings (next button)
tick everytime I visit
diskspace 500

reboot
see what happns

Hi AC.
Did all that you asked (except deleting cookies....scared), rebooted but no luck....wont accept my password.

I have two email adresses:
1) Bona fida....the wife knows all about.
2) Covert...women emailing me for sex...which the wife knows nothing about .......I don't think .....LOL

It is the first one which will not accept my password.

AC...if I got a new email I would have to contact all my contacts and to get their addresses, I would have to get into my email.....and I CAN'T

AC...geting on my t1ts now.........I have set up anither Hotmail alternative email address with new password and guess what................that password is not recognised.

yEEESSSSS...the new account will let me in.....NOW how do I transfer mt Contacts to my new account?

If you have a Facebook account - it can bring in all your email contacts; voilla - the wonders of FB.

alt: get hotmail to send password etc to your new account (open a Yahoo account & contact Hotmail from there).

tambo...I am not on Facebook.

My gmail account will import all my contacts, but they I need my password to enter my hotmail account...and it is that password that hotmail refuses to acknowledge......and it IS the bl00dy correct one.
