you could write a letter to God, what would you say?
I need an idea for some work I'm doing, both religious and non-religious views will be gratefully received.

Dear God.
There are so many things I could grumble about, and so many things I wish you'd give me, but I know that if I had it all I'd be a spoilt brat, so thank you God for what I do get, and a special thanks for those gorgeous times when I see or hear something really good - and also for letting me know that contentment is better by far than happiness - and can you make me sound a little less smug?
Love from one you created, and I messed up.

Dear God,
I am writing to apply for the position of ark builder. Although this hasn't yet been advertised I have studied the first time you required an ark building, the social and political factors at the time and am assuming that this position will soon become available again. I am hardworking, have a family I can rope in to help, like animals and have lived in England my whole life and holidayed (camping) in Wales often so am not put off by a bit of rain. Also, for your convenience I will answer to Noah if required.

Dear Paul, Noah, Judas, et al,
You know all those letters we wrote to each other a few years ago in which we tried to outdo each other with who could make up the most outrageous & funny stories?
Well, you're not going to believe this! Someone, somehow got a hold of them & is actually taking them as true, (for whatever reason), & is telling their friends & they've all started some sort of club.
I went along to a meeting they held last Sunday at the building they've renamed - church I think it was - for a laugh. And what a laugh it was! They're all so serious about it all & have made up rules & regulations, etc. In the end I had to leave, as I got a few nasty looks from some of them as I was laughing so much, snot came out my nose!
Takes all sorts doesn't it? Still, to each his own. They're all harmless loonies, so leave them to it I say. Keeps them off the streets & away from the lance sharpening workshop at least! Lol.
But I was amazed to hear that a village chief had joined - I would have thought him far too intelligent to fall for that nonsense. But his wife had just died from being run down by a chariot, so I suppose he was vulnerable?
Anyway, see you next week for the fishing competition.

Dear God.
I do believe in you but where are you??, the worlds a mess, there's people killing each other, and people starving.. you let my loved one's die painfully, and took away my baby bean from me.. i wanted to be a mum so much.
i just need a sign, something to show you're there and you care, i need you sometimes... a lot, but my faith in you is slipping away.
Look after my family up there, i think of them everyday, and if bean made it up to you, i dont know if miscarried babies go to heaven> i hope they do.. tell him mummy thinks about him a lot lately.
Please restore my faith.

My dear girl, I wish I were near to you so that I could give you a hug and pour some love and compassion over you and try to make you feel there is a God. I can only guess what you are going through - keep thinking of your little bean, he will now be at rest and in peace. I don't know any reason and can give no answers for these tragic happenings..
You say you need a sign, I wish I could give you one, but I think that is what faith is, believing there is a God even though the odds seem against it. He will be looking after your family - I like to think mine are here on earth, only a stone's throw away, and I mutter things to them sometimes..... Don't you talk to your little bean, in quiet moments. You say you need God, a lot, sometimes....well just let it go quiet and listen. He will always help you even if not always in the way you thought...

Many of you would like to believe in me as you are really suffering, even the people who are supposedly happy, maybe they have a lot of wealth and posessions, they think they are safe and usually don't give me a second thought until they find themselves in a stick situation. They only refer to me as God, they don't realise that the word God is just a description of an entity, They do know, without realising it that there are many "Gods" and they usually all have there own names, however, although I have told them what my name is they will not use it and this saddens me. In time they will know that I exist, they will be reminded of my name, and they will really wish they had given me more attention instead of ridiculing my existence as they did with my special son who I sent to tell them of the best way to go about using all I created for them. Yest they thought they knew better because they listened to my adversory way back in time.
I still offer all that I intended in the beginning, I created everything for a reason, I am not going to allow the created subjects take it away, I gave plenty of warnings of what would happen and it has proven it right on every occasion, Oh if they would just study the past happenings inline with the wonderful manual of life, of existance that I have had written. If they would just acknowlege my name and seek the readily available information about me they would be a lot happier, thing would improve emmensly and when I carry out the next stage in my creating the perfect living place, they will be invited to be part of it.
The planet they live on is a beautiful place, I want it to be even better, it will be soon, You just have to listen and learn and study and you too can benifit when I put all the problems right, When I rid the dwelling place of all the unruly ones who have been misled and are enjoying it.

I'm so glad you found comfort and I hope it continues - remember there are thousands of people out there of all faiths, who communicate with their God in their way, and they would also send you words of comfort - we all pray to our God to comfort and succour others - so there are waves of love and compassion washing over you.
As for filling up - sometimes it does us good, but I hope I don't make you into a crybaby!

My dear Fiona, forgive me for my insensitivity - of course you will cry - and sometimes it can help - but the important person now is you - you are here - you can pick up the pieces and start again - and you will....you WILL find the strength.
You can still think of your little bean though, and love him....
