I'm off to Spain again next Thursday, and will be back on 22nd. What would you like me to bring you back as a present? I jarra of Sangria? Some sugar almonds? One of those flamenco toilet roll covers? Or some perfume? You choose.........

Pru - Spanish wine is beautiful.

Verjedo - an indiginous grape variety. Used mainly in the Rueda region of Spain.

Albarino - akin to chardonnay but without the harshness. Made in the Rias Baixas region.

Ribera del duero - same grape as they use in Rioja - but the R-d-D is 100 times better.
