I know candidia (yeast) infection when it is in overgrowth can cause infection in the vagina and mouth (thrush) , does it also overgrow in the bladder and colon with those of weak immune system. When does it go into other organs, if so wouldn't it be terribly serious?

The standard treatment is one pill, (flag.. can't spell it.) which is effective for overgrowth also is hard on your liver. How many can you take without damaging your liver?

When my dentist and gynae both told me I had thrush I knew it was time to sort it. I saw a nutritionist and had to cut out everything containing yeast ( BooHoo no alcohol) and take various supplements for 6 months .I am not sure what pill you mean I take diflocan if I need to take Anti-biotics and also Acidofillus to keep gut flora healthy.
the oral canesten thrush pill should sort it out-you only need one tablet. Symptons should clear in a few days-however you may need another one a week later-best to see your GP who can precribe you a course of these anti fungal tablets
As Nohorn says-avoid anything yeasty-such as beers, malt drinks, alcohol, bread, (have pitta which doesnt contain yeast-or unleavened bread), avoid marmites
Drink lots of water and take acidophillus supplements (freindly bacteria), natural youghurt 'down there' is also soothing, eat it too, and the canesten cream also works well.
