I noticed that most buyers do not have a user name only the words BUYER.When I have been buying, my user name is shown.Any ideas about this?

I think the actual buyer is only visible to the buyer and the seller. To anyone else it is buyer1 buyer 2 etc

Not sure what you mean as all dealing I ve had the seller /buyer has a user name of sortsit no name coming up in your ebay summary

Bidder have their Ebay ID anonymised. You can see your own ID but not the ID of other bidders,and the seller can see all of the bidders' IDs. Anybody else just seesBUyer1, Buyer2,etc.

Thanks very much you 3 and I checked the site you gave me Rollo and it explained it all.I have not used ebay for 2 years as I got stung for quite a lot of money back then and paypal just did not help me to get my money back.So I see the site has changed quite a lot.Thanks
