We are not a big club, with regards to results. But i bet a few clubs out there will suffer from a loss of revenue due to the lower crowds.

We performed worse than all but two all season and deserve to go down, but i doubt other clubs accountants are celebrating the loss.
agree dabees, we deserved it, but waiting for the Mackems to gloat, he-he, well they know how it feels don't they ?
Why thankyou stick 28 :o)

Any die hard toon fan will tell you that we KNOW we haven't won anything for ages and in terms of trophies DO NOT claim to regard ourselves as a big club. We ARE a big club in terms of fan base, ground size etc. So basically there is two ways of looking at it!

We deserve to go down this year, i knew we'd go down about 2 months ago, we simply aint been good enough. Don't believe all the hype in the media about BIG CLUB Newcastle going down and pictures of Geordies crying at Villa Park, the cameras show what they want to and the media print what they want to.

Me Personally, i hope its not a bad thing that we went down, its the only way to rebuild. Time to take check of what has gone wrong top to bottom with our club ever since Bobby Robson was sacked. (Thats where it went wrong!)

It'll be tough in the Championship and it may take a couple of years to get back to the Premier league.
Most Arrognt supporters in the Country.!! Biggest Band-Wagon Jumpers in the World. Ask half of them who was Manager before Keegan and they wouldn't have a clue!!

I'd just like to point out that I was in now way being disrespectful to newcastle football club or the undoubted devoted followers of the club as it,s those who suffer the most watching their club being run into the ground. I hope that being relegated will be the wake up call to the owners that they need to get their act together !!!!
I dont think the Newcastle fans are as fanatic or loyal as the media make out.
I recall the last time they were in the old second division in the 80's and 90's, their gates were often below 14,000. I think their lowest league attendance hit 8,000 around this time.

Dabees - We at Liverpool have no problems filling out the away end at Anfield so I don't see your point! Burnley will take as many fans to Anfield, Old Trafford and the Emirates as you do.

I'm not a Toon but i would prefer Newcastle rather than tiresome dross like Wigan , Hull, Bolton

Newcastle are sh*te .........i am..... being disrespectful to newcastle football club and the undoubted devoted followers of the club

pmsl @ the toon
Those people who whether or not are being disrespectful are entitled to their opinion.

I stated we deserve to go down this year, purely cos we are 5h1t3!!
The board and managerial turnaround over the past 4 years has made us the fans a laughing stock. Lets hope its a lesson to be learned, time to rebuild for the future.

P.S. Manager before Keegan was Ossie Ardiles (First time round obviously)

Our attendances will drop i bet, probably to around 35 or 40 thousand, every club has its fickle fans and no doubt we will lose a few next season (unless the players can start putting in performances)
im glad mr zzxxee has not read these comments hes a huge toon fan
I don't know how many readers there are of the Wall St Journal in the UK but they had an interesting article on the economics of the Premier League yesterday:
