Pay & enjoy the luxury caz! I would x
actually antalya on the home journey was my second worst airport experience, the airline authorised one drink and one sandwich for every passenger but the queue was ridiculous and it did not include coffee in the offer! only bottled water
redcrx...yes they do allow kids in, but in my experience this has not been a problem as there tends to be no kids.

I think parents are loathe to pay 18 for their kids and most families have more than one now.

thats probably true squad, i wouldnt pay for mine to go in lol

as said if you have the money to spare then why not. the value you get from it depends how long you spend in there and what freebie drinks and nibbles you indulge in.

when alls said and done, its still a lounge with seats and some tv screens telling you how delayed your flight is, but it does tend to get you away from the noise and bustle of general airport lounge.

i've done it quite a few times and its not somethjing i would stretch my budget for really. but if the moneys not an issue, then do it and see for yourself.
I'd pay 18.00 for mine to go in by itself.....
Which airport are you flying from?

I usually go from B'ham and for 36 I can sit at the little champagne bar in the middle of the departure lounge and quaff a bottle of Veuve !!!

yes im flying from birmingham.....they do have beer????
Which airline are you flying with? If you go with Ryanair, then you with depart from the little lounge, but most of the other airlines depart from the bigger lounge.

we are booked with thomas cook, we are flying with monach
I wouldn't pay that!!!

I normally check in at the last minute and spend less time waiting around!!!
Do be aware that lounges also fill up - the seats are better than those in the public areas but I have been in lounges when it felt like being in a crowded A&E waiting room. By definition you will be waiting to board an aircraft, that is not the time you should be considering yourself lucky to have hit the happy hour - unless you are the type that measures wellbeing by the glassful. Flying and alcohol do not go well together.
Ahh I usually fly with them (approx once a month) . They depart usually 6:30am from the big lounge and 8:30am on Saturdays. When you get to the airport, they are the first check in desk on the very far left of the terminal building.

I, personally, wouldn't waste your cash on private lounge. I've gone in them before, and can't say it was value for money. There are a couple of coffee shops and drinking outlets when you go upstairs, just before you go thru to departures, and then loads more when you do.
