Anyone know how atkins of atkins diet died??

He was grossly overweight (c.19 stone) due to water retention.
Robert Atkins died aged 72 in New York the April before last after slipping and hitting his head on an icy pavement.
yep he managed to get up to 19st (althought that's not directly why he died) and fell over on an icy pavement, cracked his head, never woke up.
The water retention was due to heart failure, nothing to do with the diet
Has to make you wonder why one of the most famous "so called" dietry experts of our time died weighing 19 stone doesn't it?
Jim Fixx, whose book 'The Complete Book of Running' started the jogging craze, died of a heart attack...whilst running! Can we, therefore, assume that running is desperately bad for us?
presumably if you spend twice as much time jogging as lesser mortals, you have twice as much chance of dying while you're doing it?
