Sorry boodle, but how could they get lonely if they had each other?

no,you should keep more than one but try to get them all as chicks,I would only get a cockerel if you want chicks,the hens will stay lay without one and cockerels can be quite aggresive and have big spurs on the back of their legs which is very painfull when one kicks you,believe me I know!!
