do you have to have a minimum spend before you can claim off visa for a company that has failed to supply you with goods ordered? i ordered printer cartridges off a website last week and they've sent me the wrong stuff. now when I try to log into their website I can't, nor can i trace the actual items I ordered on it. also when I phone them they say they'll need to look into it and get back to me but I'm not sure I believe them!

debit or credit?
debit = no protection
credit= protection over 100 quid
Debit visa cards give you protection - the Visa Debit Chargeback. It's not as good as a credit card, but it is a lot better than nothing.

It does not have the 100 limit that credit cards have so is much better for less expensive purchases.

Faulty goods, or goods not received - claim within 120 days of payment for a full refund.

I think it depends on the company as I have managed to claim from my visa credit card company for the amount of 20, they made me wait 30 days first though to check it didn't arrive
