that great today - afternoon folks - I got up this morning only to find the biggest cold sore has come out on my lip - my body is all aching and I have gone deaf in one ear.

Putting that aside - what has really pi$$ed me off, is hearing all those MPs saying how sorry they are for claiming expenses and now making a big thing of writing cheques and giving it back.

If this had'nt been exposed, they WOULD STILL BE DOING IT - GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - TO$$ERS

Beatrice35 - I have been to the Docs about my ears - I have had problems with them ever since I got some water in them from the shower - now I put tissues in each ear to dry them when I come out of the shower. The trouble is the other day I forgot to take them out and answered the door to the parcel man - could'nt understand why he was looking at me funny - then looked in the mirror - idiot !!!

On a serious note, the best thing for cold sores is Zovirax ointment, which you can buy from a chemist.
Nail varnish remover/vinegar/perfume can also help dry up a cold sore, but they will sting like mad.

As for being deaf in one ear....I'll tell you my joke.

Hiya Joy - sorry, took a bit long answering you- the door bell rang - some woman from Child Aid trying to get me to sign up for a monthly subscription.

How are you ? yep I feel down in the dumps today - wally coldsore on my lip - deaf ears and the weather here in Essex is really crap - dull dull dull.

Still it could be worse - I could be an MP having to pay back money !!!! ha ha ha

Thanks Mrs. O - I have been putting pure Tea Tree Oil on it since I got up this morning - I was once prescribed some Zovirax tablets from the Docs - they made me feel well sick.
I think I may have a tube of Zovirax in my medicine cabinet - will go and look.

Yep - I think you are right Joy - north/south divide with the weather - the past few days, the bloody wind - I have put my hanging baskets in the shed, because some of the plants have got 'wind burn' as opposed to ' sun burn' !!!!!!!

DEN53 Keep warm. Keep thinking positive thoughts. Watch some funny shows on TV if you can. Always find Scrubs makes me laugh. Mind you, you do not want to laugh too much with your cold sore. Have you any Zovirax- find this really good. Aloe Vera moisturising gel is also soothing. Sure the warmer weather will be here soon + this will give you a boost. Hope NoMercy comes along soon as he is a breath of fresh air along with yogi.bear. You have some lovely posters here which is great. Den53- you have a wonderful sense of humour too + just made me chuckle bless you. Have answered the door to the postie with just wearing a bath towel + signing the parcel with one hand whilst holding on to the towel tightly with the other! Good to chuckle at self. " Angels can fly as they take themselves lightly".Take care + keep being you just be a more healthy version soon please. Oh Beatrice - you have made me cry with your lovely comments - what a nice lady you are. I know what you mean about willing yourself to better health - I have had many years of different aliments - 5 operations - 2 major ones - I finally feel I have come out the otherside - but I never take health for granted. I do like a laugh though, and even in my darkest hour, I can always come up with a funny story - if you can't laugh at life, what else is there.
