Analogue to digital converter of what exactly ?

Music files, TV signals ? You don't give enough information about what you want to convert, what type of equipment you want to connect.

Thanks dodgy ,but it was analogue camcorder tape to pc that i was referring to (i never made myself very clear,did i),but your answer was much appreciated.
