Can anyone think of a saying, quote or poem in Italian about food or wine? It's for use on an Italian cafe menu.

Same as Bon Appetit in French. Meaning.

Tuck in! Get stuck in! Eat already! Enjoy! Enjoy your meal! Happy eating! Get your laughing gear round this! Down the hatch! This looks nice!

A tavola non si invecchia - you don't age while you eat/are seated at a table.

A good wine starts and ends with a smile.

Mangia che ti passa - eat and you'll feel better/it will pass (your troubles will pass, that is!)

Old wine and friends improve with age.

L'appetito vien mangiando - the appetite comes while you're eating.

...and of course: The trouble with eating Italian food is that 5 or 6 days later you're hungry again.

when i lived in italy, many moons ago, there was an advert for lavazza coffee.
The slogan translated as:
The more you send it down, the more it picks you up!
