I seem to think the 1st town is the same as the 2nd town! I know the 3rd town is Brixham...... The traveller appears to have gone round in circles, just like me.
Many thanks to anyone who can stop me spinning out of control.

I think that the second town is Paignton
For what reason(s) do you think that the first and second towns are the same place?

Thanks for your contact. The town with the 780 ft long pier is Paignton. He seems to start here. He then appears to pass by Torquay (1196 abbey) and arrives at the town with the 19th Century mansion - Paignton. I must be reading the clues as upside down as his NCF does with the map! Where am I going wrong?

Check out how many sets of legs go into the sea from Paignton pier.

You're a star! It seems so obvious now. I think I'm getting too old or something! Many thanks for helping - I appreciate your support as I fast approach senility.

You're welcome to the assistance, and so would anybody else. However, I will never give the actual answers for this competition because there are only two of them with four days to find the solutions. Good luck!
