Cryptic clue = Not an upmarket joint of meat.  7 letters.

Assuming last 3 letters are ham, any ideas please re the first four?

Have considered Downham, but not a really well known town or Wrexham.

How about Corsham??
Rackham West Sussex - rack is the neck or rib section of meat.
What has that to do with "not an upmarket" boaw? All you have done is give TWO joints of meat!
Rack is a cheap cut of meat so is not upmarket
I think residents of DOWNHAM MARKET (Norfolk) might not agree that their town is "not well-known."

I would have said it was certainly as well known as some of the other suggestions!
