Editor Progress Feedback

Maybe this is a little cheeky and too much extra work for the administrators of this site, but what I'd like to see is progress feedback. I'd like to know what the techies are working on like whether/when we'll have a search function that works or an accurate "Your question may have already been answered..." page.

wouldn't this destroy the mystique of AB Ed and his pink squares? Let them beaver away in monastic seclusion, descending from on high with the occasional fiat. Look what happened when they took away the royal family's mystique, people laughing at them in the streets.

The mystique of AB Ed  - its reassuring to know that the perception of working in front of a computer for a living has been elevated to such heights. My old Renaissance Poetry tutor should be pleased.
