you people do not understand the meaning of anzac day and you fail to understand how the people of new zealand and australia contributed to us winning the last war however i dont wish an arguement so of to bed i go safe in the knowledge that i shall wake up in the morning knowing because of these anzacs i am free

well, better late than never, but thank you daneswalk for remembering our lads on Anzac Day

we seem to have gone through a bit of a spell not realising this country is free because of all those who went away to war - some to return, others not, but lately the younger generations are being told the Anzac story and the participation of children who lost family members in wartime have begun to take part in the many marches held yesterday.

None of us, regardless of where we live can ever repay the debt we owe to those who died for our freedom - never.

So thank you again, from an Aussie, whose grandfather died in Belgium in 1916.
The United Kingdom also owes thanks to the sons and daughters of Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, Rhodesia, India, Nepal and the West Indies to name but a few. Let us not forget them.
