Hi fellow egg headers! :)

SCience student in year 1 is having major difficulty with the thing i've always had trouble understanding...
MEIOSIS. Ok...the whole thing confuses me. Even my Biology tutor when I was studying my highers could not manage to get thru to my pea sized brain...Now my exam is in 5 weeks away and I need to know...MEIOSIS! :(

HELP!!!! :(

The only thing I understand is that it has 2 stages and involves the formation of 4 unique haploid cells which are different to the mother cell. all the rest is confusing...
