Length of stay in USA

As we are now retired we want to take an extended holiday in USA where our son lives. What is the maximum length of time we are entitled to stay there.

Davao

Under the visa waiver with UK passport you can stay 90 days but if you wish to stay longer you apply for visa at U>S> Embasyy

Note that even if you have a visa, you will still at intervals of probably either 90 or 180 days have to renew your permission to stay and prove you are still a tourist.
