Opening Word docs in Windows Vista

Can anyone tell me how to do this. I'm job searching and most of the job apps and description are in word docs. I can't open them! Nothing too technical please but all help appreciated. Ta

either install microsoft office, which you'll have to purchase, or if you've not got that then install open office which is free.

Or if you don't fancy using minova then just goto your local PC world, pick a copy of office up off the shelf, put it in your bag and walk out the door without paying for it. it ammounts to the same thing.......

It being Easter Sunday and me being a good catholic girl an' that.........I took what looked like the honest option. Open Office. It worked! Thank you Chuck x
Follow the instructions below to make sure that when you write anything in open office it is automatically saved in word format, otherwise if you send the document to anybody else they will not be able to open it if they have MS office installed
