IE 8......is it too new???

A friend downloaded IE8...and has had nothing but problems with it in only 24 hours.......her pc crashed at least 3-4 times in a 5hour period.
I think she is going to uninstall it-lol

So-is it too new...has anyone else tried it and had problems......I want to know as I HAD been considering installing it.

Funny you should say it has been aroud a lon time knobs.....I have only just recently been getting little notices to try it...lol...it is up on my yahoo toolbar now in fact!!

ummm mine as well its blinking distracting.
i`m not sure about firefox it keeps frezzing.
