We flew with them last year to France and it was perfectly fine - flights left and arrived on time and their pepperoni panini's were particularly good!! Always a bit of a race to board so better to get there as early as possible to try to get a reasonable boarding allocation, however, there seemed to be a seat for everyone and no problems. We flew with two young kids and didn't bother to pre-book seats. At the end of the day, if someone wants to spend 3 hours sat next to my fidgity 7 year old rather than swap seats with me then good luck to them!!
Flown with them a couple of times , fine with me
As long as you arrive on time for check in you'll be fine.

I think alot of the bad press they've had is to do with people arriving after the check in time and they are really strict and don't usually give any leigh way (sory can't spell)
agree with other answers.have used easyjet plenty of times in the past few years, never any problems.

Done the Bristol to Valencia commute with them a few times. Don't know if that route is back up and running yet, but I don't have any complaints. Found the staff curteous and helpful. Ryanair are a bunch of *******. Don't ever travel with them !!
I've found them alright, much better than O'Leary's lot at any rate

thanks all. will have to let you know what it's like ay...
glad to have opinions of "real people" rather than only hearing th negative bits heard via media
Used easyjet to both majorca and malaga in the last 2 years. Service is fine, get what you pay for. Food is ok, if a bit overpriced but thats to be expected really. Only problem weve had with them was on the return flight from Malaga where we were delayed for 5 hours and the easyjet staff based at the airport werent very forthcoming with info. All round thumbs up for the travel though!
I flew with them recently and was impressed, the only thing that I didn't like was the seating. There were loads of "singles" on our flight who got on the plane first and sat in a row on their own meaning that groups had to split up and my boyfriend and I were not able to get seats together.

This can be avoided of course by paying extra for priority boarding!
I fly to Faro airport in Portugal very often, Easyjet by far the best service, bad press is down to stupid passengers not the airline!

so far all your replies have made me think the media is (as always) enjoying focussing on the negatives only. We'll get there nice and early and hope to get good seats. If we didn't want to buy snacks onboard can we take our own? Just crisps and a sandwich.
Easyjet? Is'nt that the cheap airline that has its toilets on the outside?lol!

oh don't be wicked kingchain....i was just starting to think the trip would be great you rotter!!!! :-)
Lol,eve ive only used them once so i cant really judge them, but ill tell you one thing the seat legroom was almost none existant, seriously it was like the managed to cram several hundred extra seats in every available gap! Maybe its because im 5"11? But then this is reflected in their bargain prices! Less money spent on a flight means more money for your holiday! So enjoy!
Don't think you are allowed to take your own stuff on to eat, but I personally didn't think the prices were too bad - they were certainly cheaper than the prices in France- as for legroom, again, i have flown reasonably regularly and I didn't think that there was that much difference - you might notice on a long haul, but not for your usual European jaunt - I am 5'10" and my husband is 6'2".
I have flown with them a few times and they are one of the better low costs airlines. My flights to Cologne, Malta and Gibraltar were all fairly decent.
evedawn there's nothing stopping you taking your own food onto the plane, however, drinks have to be purchased after security.
I agree that easyjet's better than Ryanair I sometimes wonder if the crew aren't embarassed working for them (scratch cards, going down the aisle with a bin bag) I'm still waiting for the glass of water the air hostess went to fetch me as I was choking... Pity, years ago they were good.
