i have a right of way across my property on foot only to another house they have other access, it has not been used for over 2 years its over grown and a mess. how long does it have to remain unused before it can be closed. its not a public right of way.

i would think less than 2 years ya
If you have granted a right of way to a neighbour, that will be recorded in the title deeds and will not lapse with passage of time.
If it is not formally part of the Title,non -use has to persist for 20 years i think.
A row is never extinguished with lack of use.
