Windows Messenger problem

When I try to have a video/voice conversation with a contact, it says the other person doesn't have video/voice installed or enabled and I know they have. They get the same message for my computer as well. Can't find any answers in the Microsoft websites. Any suggestions?

Make sure you both have the same version of MSN messenger.
may be both of you are using the same version windows messenger.

try to open the video in the other explorers which is installed in your computer.

try to reset the windows messenger.
