Hi you clever folk, I hope you can help me with a rather irritating problem. I must have changed a setting somewhere because when I start Windows Live Messenger up now, everything seems to freeze and I am having to press Ctrl + Alt + Del to get Windows Task Manager up, then I can highlight Windows Live Messenger and click on *Switch to....* which seems to give it that all important kick ..... but is a right royal kerfuffle just to start a program going ! Any ideas on how to rectify this annoyance ? Thanks.

What setting did you change?
try downloading the latest version of mesenger and installing it, that should fix the problem.

Thanks Wix - I have no idea what I must have changed - otherwise I'd be able to set it back lol.

Problem is, I thought I WAS on the latest version of Messenger..... 8.1.0178... is there a later one (apart from the beta ones still being tested)? Also, last time I upgraded, I lost all my contacts, doh... it took me ages to get them all again (I had to actually ring people up on the telephone !)
