Ho ho ho!!

Very funny story.
Strange thing to happen just after pensioners were given use of their passes before 9am or was it 9.30. Can't remember which.
Thats awfull news. cant believe that !!

I'll start making my banner today, to march to downing street. THAT CANT BE TRUE -- can it?
we always called the pensioners 'twirlys' 'cos the bus would stop about 8:58 and a pensioner would always say to the driver 'Am I too early'....................
Lol Craft.
Thats shocking if true, what a shame.

LOL at craft
It says in the article that the withdrawal only ( ! ) aplies to those services where 1/2 the sats can be pre-booked...phew!......still sucks tho ;-((

There will be cheapskate councils-like mine-that will take advantage of this.
sats?...oops!...meant seats
I never use buses anyway - I always seemed to get 'care in the community' people come and sit next to me - the bus would be practically empty but they'd sit next to me....
craft............christ! .....bad luck for the communuty people eh?
Strange that this is not being reported anywhere else.

I wonder why, if it is true, and not a spoof!

It has the ring of truth rollo,as the over-60's pass per se is not being cancelled out...only the extent to which it could be used. A success story that costs the gov't too much,so out it goes.
yes sqad I think your spelling was actually the correct one.........I'd be sitting on the bus, minding my own business and it used to get to this certain stop on the route and they'd all pile on...........they were easy to spot 'cos they were usually wearing woolly hats and anoraks in August. Then they'd stare in your face really intently and talk to you very loudly - I started getting taxis....
Then why is it not being reported elsewhere??
Im thinking its an april fool, the day its stopped is april fools day and surely most pensioners would be informed before hand, they cannot just stop a service like that without warning.
Hope it is an April fools joke...tho I am cynical. Have looked on Directgov and Age Concern....no mention. Strange IS the word for it! lol
