you can do this online with Parkers guide, same as glasses really. www.parkers.co.uk i think it is. if not just put parkers guide into search engine.

You can use parkers, but used car dealers tend to get incredibly ****** off with the amount of people who turn up armed with their parkers guide telling them which of their cars are overpriced, etc...

My boyfriend's a used car salesman and has access to the guides, unfortunately he's got two days off so won't be able to respond for a while.  I've got an Apil 2004 guide at home, but considering the age of the car it will probably have depreciated significantly in the year since.

I take it that it is the retail price you're after - you'd probably be able to get a rough idea of the price by looking through autotrader .  If you look at the trades cars only and narrow the search down to 1.9tdi SE 3 door.  I'm afraid the pearl effect paint probably won't make much difference, unless it's a hideous colour or very unpopular (e.g. the pink Honda Jazz) in which case you'd be wise to knock a little off.

If you're after a price in order to evaluate buying a new car on part exchange then I'm afraid the above advise won't be much use as it's then the trade price that's used - sorry!

Thank you everyone, I didn't know about Parkers but that is good enough for me. It is someone who wants to buy the car before I go & buy a new one & did not have a clue as to how much it is worth. I didn't want to be cheeky & take it to a garage & ask them as I probably won't be trading it in with them!

Thanks.

If you want to use Glass's, you can also do that online - www.glass.co.uk
