This may sound like a daft question but I've got quite dark hair and I'm going bald fairly rapidly, so I'd rather my hair be grey, that way the baldness will look more natural. So is there anything I can use, either a solution or a take a tablet,  that will make my hair go grey gradually??

Borrow my kids for a week and I guarantee your hair will turn grey.

Seriously, I don't understand how being grey will make your baldness look more natural. Baldness is baldness. You will go grey eventually and wait until the scary bit happens, when you suddenly find you have matching collar and cuffs!!!! Treasure your hair colour while you still have it.

Maybe it's me being paranoid then, but I reckon that the greyness of the hair doesn't make the baldness look so obvious. Matching collar and the cuffs, now that is depressing, just thinking about that might just speed up the greying process!! Thanks for the advice anyway.

Going grey is determined from birth, I know of no treatment that can remove colour from the hair as it's made at a cellular level. You can always just bleach it but I don't think that would look the way you want it, so you'll just have to let nature take its course and not worry about it, and I think you'll find somewhere a thread where many women didn't mind it either.
One way would be to shave your head (number one crop) on a regular basis. It obviously wouldn't turn your hair grey, but it could give it the appearance of looking lighter.
ive always found a grey bowler very useful under similar circumstances ta ta
You could use a chalk duster!

Thank you all for your advice anyway, especially pjm007, might give that a try!
SAH have a few white highlights (streaks) run through and it'll give the general impression you are looking for.  I've let my hair go grey and I hate it - back to blonde for me.

as a barber/hairdresser I would recommend that you do not

a) colour it (you can always tell)

b) do not try to scrape it over your head like bobby charlton

c) wear a wig

But do: embrace your baldness with acceptance and simply have it very short.   Trust me, nothing looks worse than the old boys who come in my shop trying to hide what is glaringly obvious!  xxxx

Thanks for the advice spammylou, as a hairdresser you would certainly have first hand knowlege of any type of cover up. Cheers!
