birth control, should I be worried?

I'm worried. I had diarrhea on two days during the second week of my birth control pills. Unfortunately, I don't remember if it was before or after taking my pills. I called my doctor, and she said that diarrhea shouldn't affect birth control pills, I should be fine. But I saw online that sometimes diarrhea CAN affect birth control pills. Which is it? Anyway, I figured it was fine, so I didn't take any back-up pills, just kept taking pills and using condoms as normal.

A week after that, my boyfriend's condom broke. 24 hours later, I took Plan B because I was worried ... but could I still possibly have gotten pregnant from that one broken condom? Am I being paranoid? My period isn't due for another week, but sitting around and worrying is driving me nuts.

it sounds unlikely but no contraceptive is 100% safe. chill.. it's only a week. if you're going to stress out you'll probably make your period late anyway.

best of luck :o)
The diarrhoea needs to be of cholera-like proportions (i.e like water) before it would affect the absorption of your pill. As Sara says, you'll probably be okay. Try not to worry!
