Hi, just returned from France last night, couldn't be bothered to cook so bought a ready meal at my local Tesco Express only to find an inch long bit of plastic in it as I ate. I don't really want to complain directly to the store (they're not the most helpful bunch of people in the world), I can't find any address to write to or email on the Tesco website, does anyone have an address or email I can write to? Many thanks for any help (the store in question is in Cambridge)

I had a similar problem with a Tesco store. We found what looked like a small section of a rubber belt used in machinery. We took the uneaten item still with the foreign part in place and took it back to the store and saw the manager. A month or two later we received a voucher for 5 and a letter saying they were sorry a piece of plastic wrapping was in the food. Makes you want to tear your hair out as they could not have investigated how the belt rubber could have got there.

I wish now that we have got in touch with the local paper to give it more publicity instead..

You're all brilliant, many thanks! Will write to Dundee address.
Just fancied a cold lager..so popped into Tesco and grabbed four bottles..
When I got home I tried the first one.. it tasted awful..so I looked at the sell by date on the bottle..it was four months over..
Next day when I was passing Tesco I went in and asked about their policy on selling out of date food and drink..
A very nice lady said she was really sorry and asked if another 12 bottles would compensate..

I wonder if that one would work with Jack Daniels..?
