Yeah, nice one. Let's ban "Anotheoldgit" from having the temerity to use this website to discuss the rights and wrongs of modern life.
How dare he/she post questions which spark arguments and debates on various topics?
Honestly, I'm sick to the back teeth of reading questions in the 'News' section that relate entirely to the news. I want to discuss reality TV, soap operas and sport.

I think we all ackowledge that AOG is a frequent poster on this section - but that's the democracy of the site - he is perfectly entitled so to do.
I have enjoyed some lively debate with Mr G - we often don;t see eye to eye, but the pleasure of exchanging views is part of the raison d'etre of the site, so I must defend his right to post.
If you disagree with his posts, don't respond - or post and argue, or post yourself - that's what I do.

To prevent excessive chat on the AnswerBank users are limited 10 questions in 5 minutes and 20 answers in 5 minutes if you attempt to exceed this number you will be prevented from posting for the remainder of the 5 minutes, after which users accounts will then resume to normal.
Since I have not infringed on this rule, I cannot see what I have done wrong.
I offer up news topics that I think will generate heated discussion, and everyone has the same right if they so wish.

Mr Veritas... sorry, I took your comments to be literal. My mistake. AOG gets so much stick on here that I just thought he/she was being pilloried yet again for having the temerity to express an opinion.

I actually hate 'emoticons'. You know, these damn things, :-) ;-) :-0 etc.
But sometimes they do have their uses. Particularly when we are being 'ironic' and then some berk like me comes along and takes the wrong end of the stick :-(
