Haha....I watched this on the news earlier in jaw dropping amazement and then switched off in disgust !
Did you see the minister saying they were hoping to " claw something back " ? Yeah right .
There are a huge amount of comments on Robert Pestons blog that are awaiting moderation ....I can just imagine why !
He took a punt on Amro and it failed but why should the taxpayer be shoring them up while he sits back and rakes it in .It's obscene .
Myself and Mr S. both had a little rant too :))
The best suggestion I've heard is to introduce retrospective legislation to claw the money back. It would not be much different from putting a windfall tax which they did on the banks some years ago but in that case they were profits not losses..

I believe he has been approached to donate some of this money back and they haven't received a reply. Some hope!
I have received a letter today telling me my state pension will increase by �6.50 per week!! Nice timing!!!
