What is the difference between a Flash Stick costing 5 and a similar one costing 25 other than the cost of course. Is the download speed faster on a more expensive one or is reliabilty the answer?

Sorry I did not make it clear. I should have said what is the difference.......a 4GB Stick for 5 and a 4GB stick for 25....
I use an expensive one in work. It has a flashing light one end to indicate when it is in use. It has a cover to protect the end and the case is sturdy.
One I use at home has none of the above but is just as reliable. I just have to be a little more protective of it.
a 5 flash isn't as flash as a 25 one

the other answer is ... maybe

the speeds all vairy incredibly ... not necessarily by price ...
~I tend to work on the fact that I'll almost certainly loose it, leave it plugged in somewhere ... or find it by standing on it

5 doesn't hurt as much as 25 second time round
Another factor may be the age of the item in stock.

Two years ago flash memory would have cost upwards of 15 per GB with a premium added for a brand name. Two years earlier it was more like 70 per GB. Newly produced flash memory can be bought for around 1 per GB.

Old stock may not have its price reduced sufficiently (if at all) to match current pricing.
