Not sure if this is the correct board but here goes. Does anyone know anything about claiming refunds from Easyjet? Our flight was cancelled due to snow and we were told to try to book the next available one and they would reimburse us. We did this but have had no joy getting through to their customer services to find out how to claim. As it cost us another 250 we would certainly like it back.

The easyJet website rather unhelpfully (because I'm assuming that it's the number you can get through on) tells you to call 0871 244 2366

However, you might find it easier to get an answer on this number:
0870 6 000 000

Thanks for trying to helpbut when I rang that number an automated message tells me it is no longer in service. I was trying to find an mailing address or an email address with no joy as yet.
Oh, sorry that number didn't work. It's the number given, on the easyJet website, for overseas callers to use (with the international dialling code removed by me to change it back to a UK number).

Like most large organisations, easyJet don't provide an email address, per se. (It's an anti-spam measure). Instead they offer a web form:

Postal address:

easyJet Airline Company Limited
Hangar 89, London Luton Airport
Luton, Bedfordshire
LU2 9PF
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Commissi on_Regulation_261/2004

[email protected]

e-mail them and quote this regulation above which should help if there is any doubt to your claim being accepted.

Or post to;

easyJet plc
Hangar 89
London Luton Airport
Bedfordshire
LU2 9PF

Note, that whilst Halkwalks info on EU Regs is valid for some airline cancellations, airlines are not required to pay compensation for events outside of their control. Severe weather being one of the exclusions. So no Compensation for snow.

However, they are stil obliged to offer refunds or rebookings.

Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions especially to Buenchico for for postal address. I tried emailing and it came straight back telling me all answers were on the website and to fill in a web form with any queries. This I duly did and then received an email to a link to the answer to the question 'What sort of planes do Easyjet fly?' I am still wondering how this was supposed to help me. I am going to send a registered letter and see if I get any response. Even if the rep was telling lies and we don't get refunded it would be nice to have a reply at least.
Will let you all know how I get on if I get any response.

Just to let everyone know that my registered letter seemed to do the trick. Full refund. Thanks to everyone for all their help.
