bob.....children, teenagers, adults are dying of diseases all the time and at this very moment, poor, possibly alone and anonymous.

Fate has put her in the spotlight and the media is milking it to the nth degree and that is what she wants.

We are all sympathetic, but hey! this is fate to which we all suffer in various ways.

my daughters dads name was on her birth certificate, he didnt have any contact with her for over a year and i legally changed her name to my surname, and was told that i have parental responsibility for her now and it is drawn up in a legal document that went to court

When was your daughter born? The law changed for children born during and after 2003, which gave unmarried fathers automatic parental responsibility if they are named on the birth certificate.

That doesn't apply to children born before 2003

bob, gormless, let me give you the bottom line.......I have never met Jade, didn't even know anything about her until, that TV program which incidentally I didn't watch. In my life I have seen man's inhumanity to man to such an extent that I can watch TV pictures of dying children, air crashes, famine, torture, child abuse and it has no effect upon me....I am immunised against it.
When Jade dies, I will not grieve or be affected emotionally in any way and in another years time, you will have to remind me who Jade was.

Sorry...but that is the bottom line for me.
