Does this exist? What I'd really like to buy her is a toy rabbit with long strokable ears, I'd like the toy to have lots of textures like soft fur, satin, silk, velvet etc. I want it to smell nice e.g. lavender and have a musical thing inside so that it plays a lovely soothing tune. She has only just lost her sight, and is in her twenties, but you never grow out of liking cuddlies,(I don't want a toy designed for babies).

The RNIB has an online shop with a selection of things suitable for blind or partially sighted, may be worth a browse. Good luck

If you search around there are a lot of options, you could always try soft toys for children with sensory problems as they are very textured

Thank you very much. There was a cuddly elephant but it was designed for babies. There's definitely lots of interesting ideas to help her with other things in the info you've all given.
The RNIB can give you details of not only toys for partially sighted/blind adults, but also tell you where to get audio books and adventure holidays for those with this condition. You can also get information about toys for guide dogs. x
